ADS is committed to sound management practices that promote environmental protection and human safety. Key policies include:

• operating facilities and pursuing activities while minimizing possible risks to the environment and the community.
• promoting continuous improvement in environmental performance (based on human health and the biophysical environment) by meeting applicable laws and regulations.
• continually researching methods to reduce, re-use, or recycle waste products; eliminate waste products safely when needed.
• collaborating with government authorities to solve ADS challenges and to develop standards that are both technically and financially suitable.
• informing management and the Board of Directors about their environmental responsibility in each sector of business activity.
• providing ADS directors, management, and personnel with management tools for environmental protection.
• inspecting facilities for conformity to environmental standards in order to measure progress and plan for prevention and correction as needed.
• evaluating the environmental impact of future acquisitions and expansions.
• promoting environmental awareness among ADS management and personnel.
• encouraging open-minded dialogue with personnel and community members on issues related to the environment and human health and safety.
• periodically reporting environmental performance results to the Board of Directors.
