Our Environmental Policy
Deeply concerned with the environment, ADS
is committed to respecting its environmental
policy which calls on implementing ways to
actively contribute to the respect of the
environment.
The environmental policy outlines
our major action objectives for the next
few years
and demonstrates our commitment to environmental
management:
- To use our facilities and carry
out operations in such a way as to minimize
possible threat
to the environment and the community.
- To promote continuous improvement of
our environmental performance with
regards to
the biophysical environment, health,
and to do so in conformity to the
laws and
regulations in force.
- To continuously
seek ways to reduce, reuse and recycle
residual materials
which we generate
and, whenever necessary, to dispose
of the waste safely and responsibly.
- To collaborate with government authorities
to find environmental
solutions specific
to our operations, and to develop
norms that are financially viable
and take
into account
our specific technical considerations.
- To inform our directors and officers
of their environment-related
responsibilities
as related to their specific
sphere of activity.
- To developing
an environmental management system for
our directors
and management;
and for our employees, to
develop the management tools required
for environmental
protection
purposes.
- To conduct periodic
environmental testing (in accordance
with established norms)
of our facilities to measure
progress and to
set out appropriate preventive
and corrective measures.
- To evaluate any potential environmental
impact prior
to making any decision
regarding the acquisition
of new facilities or
the expansion of existing
ones.
- To provide training
for and create awareness
among
management
and
personnel about environment-responsible
ways of carrying out
their work tasks.
- To encourage an open dialogue between
staff and the neighboring
population
about any
issue pertaining
to the environment, human
health
and safety.
- To periodically
report to the board
of directors
with
results
obtained
within our environmental
performance program.
