Our Environmental Policy

Deeply concerned with the environment, ADS is committed to respecting its environmental policy which calls on implementing ways to actively contribute to the respect of the environment.

The environmental policy outlines our major action objectives for the next few years and demonstrates our commitment to environmental management:

  • To use our facilities and carry out operations in such a way as to minimize possible threat to the environment and the community.
  • To promote continuous improvement of our environmental performance with regards to the biophysical environment, health, and to do so in conformity to the laws and regulations in force.
  • To continuously seek ways to reduce, reuse and recycle residual materials which we generate and, whenever necessary, to dispose of the waste safely and responsibly.
  • To collaborate with government authorities to find environmental solutions specific to our operations, and to develop norms that are financially viable and take into account our specific technical considerations.
  • To inform our directors and officers of their environment-related responsibilities as related to their specific sphere of activity.
  • To developing an environmental management system for our directors and management; and for our employees, to develop the management tools required for environmental protection purposes.
  • To conduct periodic environmental testing (in accordance with established norms) of our facilities to measure progress and to set out appropriate preventive and corrective measures.
  • To evaluate any potential environmental impact prior to making any decision regarding the acquisition of new facilities or the expansion of existing ones.
  • To provide training for and create awareness among management and personnel about environment-responsible ways of carrying out their work tasks.
  • To encourage an open dialogue between staff and the neighboring population about any issue pertaining to the environment, human health and safety.
