Geogrids
Geogrids are rigid structures with openings of varying shapes and sizes, used to reinforce foundation or pavement layers. They increase the load-bearing capacity of soils, limit deformations, and extend the service life of structures.
Manufactured from materials resistant to chemical attack and degradation, geogrids offer excellent resistance to creep and to harsh environmental conditions.
By confining aggregates within their apertures, they create a mechanically stabilized layer that improves load distribution and overall infrastructure performance, particularly on weak or low-bearing soils.
InterAx Series
Tensar InterAx (NX) geogrids are next-generation soil reinforcement geogrids. Compared to traditional geogrids, they provide superior reinforcement performance.
The InterAx (NX) geogrid structure is composed of continuous and discontinuous ribs forming three aperture geometries (hexagon, trapezoid, and triangle), as well as a suspended hexagon. They are coated with a flexible white polymer that promotes aggregate interlock within the ribs themselves.
Applications: Highways, working or storage platforms, wind turbine access roads, reinforcement over peat soils, railways.
HX Series
HX geogrids are next-generation reinforcement geogrids. Compared to traditional geogrids, these geogrids provide superior reinforcement. The structure of HX geogrids is composed of continuous and discontinuous ribs forming three aperture geometries (hexagon, trapezoid, and triangle) and a suspended hexagon. This is the same structure as InterAx (NX) geogrids, but without the external polymer.
Applications: Highways, working or storage platforms, wind turbine access roads, reinforcement over peat soils, railways.
BX Series
BX series biaxial geogrids are polypropylene structures with rectangular apertures, forming an open and regular network of tensile-resistant elements. The apertures of this geogrid allow aggregate interlock, thereby forming a strong composite system that increases the load-bearing capacity of soils.
Applications: Temporary access roads, secondary roads, bicycle paths.
UX Series
UX series geogrids are manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin and are inert to most chemical and biological conditions found in soils, ensuring long-term performance. Their design, featuring strong orientation in one direction, provides maximum resistance to elongation when subjected to high tensile loads over long periods.
Applications: Retaining walls, slope reinforcement.
Surface Reinforcement – Texgrass and Texgravel
Texel offers a range of surface reinforcement products. These products are made of a recycled high-density polyethylene (HDPE) matrix structure that is installed at the ground surface and helps maintain load-bearing capacity. They are porous surfacing systems that allow rainwater to percolate into the soil and be naturally filtered. They are designed to withstand significant loads while providing stability, flexibility, and continuity to surfaces.
Applications: Pedestrian pathways, road shoulders, temporary parking areas, permeable paver replacement.
